They're in a yard just outside Pickering.  Rich and Mark have the details but one was certainly worth saving.  I'm amazed Tim didn't buy it there and then - it was just the right colour!!

Will Neil or Theo be putting it, with a link to Theo's pics, on the LMC website?

Mark

Theo? can you put it on? I was thinking of doing a short article for VL.

Last minute change of plans at home meant that I could join in on the Saturday but alas not the Sunday.  Great to meet everyone and thanks Chris for organising.  Highlight for me was the late afternoon run especially when the sun came out as we ran over the moors before dropping down to Danby - fabulous!   Its great to drive behind Betas on the road, they look so elegant and dinky compared with the bloated 21st century boxes.

Disappointed that I needed a push start to make a get away from North Yorkshire - thanks chaps for your efforts.  Intermittent fault on starter solenoid I fear (ugh!)  First major electrical issue I have had for a long time. After a few miles of running and arriving at the top of the first decent hill I switched the engine off and tried starter, worked first time?   Haven't been able to replicate problem at home either.

Thanks once again Chris for organising - I must spend more time exploring North Yorkshire roads.

It's done. You can see it at http://www.lancia.myzen.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=8090.msg58065#msg58065.

Writing it up for VL is a great idea Neil. Feel free to pick up any of my photos or if you wanrt them sent by email just let me know.

Thanks again Chris for a superb weekend, brilliant company and excellent roads, hard to beat.
Question is who will brave enough to save that pair of spiders?.. Someone near by with a little space?
Peter is the man to speak to as regards Beta electrical faults, you are right Andrew, solenoid or dodgy earth(s) below head lights etc.
Seeing all our Beta's together flying along reminds us just how brilliant these cars are... not that any of us has forgotten!  Smiley

The Betameeta article is followed immediately in the magazine by an excellent article by Jason Kennedy about racing his Beta Coupe at Nurenburg and Spa.

He gives a great description of his racing method based on the Beta being able to kill anything in the bends and how he times his positioning for this.

Despite some mechanical problems, teamed with his wife Louise, who has campaigned the car in the past, he was able to consistently improve on his grid position, beating several Porsche's in the process.

Another great profile raiser for the abilities of the Beta.
