It's just about time to change the points on my 1300. I'm thinking of fitting an Aldon 'in distributor' type of electronic ignition. Has anyone else done this? Any comments/problems?

Find someone breaking a later car and take the electronic ignition module, distributor, coil and ballast resistor from that. It's pretty simple to splice into the wiring. I've just completed this with my 2000

You'd just need to make sure the advance curves aren't too different for the 1300.
