As subject suggests, has anyone got one of these fitted Huh? any difference in performance as "claimed" Huh? or just a waste of money?

never tried one but on balance i can't say I'm keen on the idea although if it does work at all (aside from throwing too much petrol around) it is sure to work better on a non-cat car without closed loop management such as a Beta. I think they've been tested on a rolling road in MGFs by someone who found they gave no power gains, if i find a link I'll post it

One thing you have to remember is that the original regulator is "quite old" now and could
easily have reduced your fuel pressure to below optimum.

I changed the regulator/filter on a carb car (not quite the same) the original was running
at 1.5 psi the new one (FilterKing) is set to 3.5 and it's quite a different machine now.

I'll wait for other peoples opinions to get a general yay or nay before commiting, not just saying it because it's the cheaper of the two, but surely its more beneficial to have the regulator fitted with a gauge? At least you could easily check the pressure and instantly know of a leak.

I do find it quite pointless that the gauge goes upto 10bar if it spends its life at a maximum of 3.5bar

I would suggest the money is better spent on injector cleaning and checking the original pressure is being delivered under load before buying a new regulator. Quick with a guage and a rollling road!
On my mapped and fuel injected Montecarlo an adjustable regulator and guage is essential to get the base line pressure right and keep it there. Some later Bosch injectors like those used on VW IR32s need 4.5BAR to work at their best.

Thanks for the advise Eric, I'm planning on having it on the rollers very soon, so i'll ask them if they can connect a gauge up while there doing it. What pressure should it be running Huh?
