Can anybody inform me if the end parts of rubberstrip underneath the doors of Spider are still available somewhere, or is there any manufactor who stil can make them these parts are not available on the mainland so this is why I turned to the UK as there are still a lot of Beta's around in the UK, more then in North Europe.
As I am finalizing the restauration of a 1981 Spider, these parts are the only ones still missing. If any member has them spare in a reasonable condition I wil be very much pleased to accept any reasonable offer. ( better expensive, than not for sale)
regards Spider 1979.

Hi Jan

I think you will struggle to find them, but not impossible of course. Maybe 3D printing is an option? Also I seem to think there were two different profiles early/later?

You may want to subscribe to a Facebook group(s) where you get US folk as you do see cars there being parted out.

Not sure about more in the U.K., there appear to be a significant number in mainland Europe.

There are definitely two different profiles but these would be ideal for 3d printing.

Most of the ones for sale are very used,

Many thanks for taking time to reply, will try to see if 3 D printing can solve this problem, I did not know there were different types.
Thanks again

Hi all.
I am not sure which parts you are talking about here which might imply mine are missing. Any clarification appreciated
Thanks

Hi

These are what I believe is being discussed taken from early Spider and are original to the car

Ah!
I call them rubbing strips but as they are not on the this is probably not very accurate.
Mine are missing but sourced the strips from Midwest Baylis (not cheap) and Mark at Betaboyz managed to dig out done reasonable condition end caps for me.
Midwest had 3 of the end caps but not the  total 4 (profiles are different for each one from memory) but that may have changed now.
Definitely asking Mark if he has any is worth a shot.
