On S2FL Fuse boxes. The ones fitted above the exhaust manifold. There are 2 removable external connectors just below the Perspex fuse / relay cover. They only allow the connection of 2 out of 3 possibilities each.

The first offers P L A mine is set to connect P & L

The second offers F RN A mine is set to connect F & RN

Please can you confirm how yours are set on your UK running car stating if it is a Carb car or VX IE (loom variations on IE & VX).

I have tried my best with the wiring diagram but would like some real work validation please.

Thank you

Hi Eric,
As you know, my hpe is a bit of a bastard car, with a factory carb but
most other stuff is i.e. spec.

Nevertheless, A and RN are connected
and A,L and P are covered by a blank, no connections. It also appears
that there's no terminals in the latter.

Regards
Nigel

Hi Eric, I did find it on the wiring diagram with the following description: "Bridges to choose items 1 or 2 for signalling and rear guard lamp supply for items 30 to 36"

same diagram also has
Item 1 - low beam
Item 2 - main beam
Item 30 - fog light solenoid switch
Item 31- Window lift solenoid switch
Item 32 - horn compressor item 12 solenoid switch
Item 33 - Cooling fan item 9 solenoid switch
Item 34 - items 129 - 143 solenoid switch
Item 35 - main beams item 2 solenoid switch
Item 36 - low beams item 1 solenoid switch
