The supercharger uses ZC90 oil - from Fiat. Or you can go to a car spares shop and get something like 75W 90, 80W-90 - 1 litre should do it.
Never run it low or without oil as the front bearings if damaged are £300.00 from Mr Croft and the gears you cant get! Blower will be scrap.
You fill the blower by pouring it into the reservoir and allow it to to settle in its own time, you will have to fill and do this a number of times, oil level is correct when its in line with the seam on the reservoir.
If you are impatient like i am i would suck on the top breather pipe (i am disgusting like that) this draws down the oil quicker and cuts down the waiting time - do three loads and give it 15 minutes to see what happens, repeat until it full. You wont get oil in your mouth by the way.
Check the level every 300 miles or you are at the mercy of old Crofty!!!!!!

opps did'nt get this note in time but guess what it starts and runs takes oil and the blower is quiet so i'm hoping that will sort it. only problem is it has no tickover and miss fires a bit. i was resigning myself to the fact i was going to have to take it to a tuners so sort but if you have any ideas it would be GREAT. thanks simon

Just looking at the bearings in the picture and the tubes shown are there any grease nipples you can fill them with grease instead of a strip down ! thanks Paul

Unfortunately the only way to get grease in is to remove the small access cover - four 10mm nuts and just pack in the grease with your finger, also pack the outer cover, bolt on and wipe clean.
You dont have to remove the back completely as i have, this photo was posted to see if i could upload it - thanks again to Matt.
Tubes you see are for the breather/ scavenge system.
