Hi,

Could somebody tell me what is a diffrence between those two types of engines? I was sure that it is only the displacement so engine blocks have different heights and crankshafts have different cranks. I am asking this question because I am looking for engine gasket sets (bottom end) and found two sets on ebay, and they are specified as different for these engines. The set for 2.0 is much pricey than the one for 1.6. Is it reasonable? I need mainly the block covers gaskets.
Thanks

Not 100% on differences, the block is taller and obviously crank differs I believe that one or more of the oil seals differ in size. I think most of the gaskets are the same but could be wrong.

Thanks very much. I took the risk and eventually ordered the set dedicated to 1.6, and will report if it fits.

The cost of gasket sets can sometimes be down to quality. Typically, cheap sets often contain things like poor quality cardboard cam box gaskets, whereas the more expensive sets have better neoprene type ones.
