Title: A434LKO - HPE VX
Post by: SanRemo78 on April 12, 2022, 02:57:07 PM
Is this car still around? Nothing on DVLA for the MOT history.

We're moving house and have found a copy of What Car from February 1984 featuring this car. Before I bin it does anyone want it? Plus a period Beta HPE brochure - third series cars.

Cheers
Guy

Hi Guy

Moving house, does this mean bigger garage….?

Well if it was any smaller I'd have vetoed it. There will be room for both Stratos until the second one is built and sold or sold as a project. That'd give me room for a Beta Coupe. The garage may be big enough for both Stratos and the Panda but a Beta, Stratos and Panda will be a very tight squeeze. Looks like the Alfa will be out in the cold for a while....

It's a large double but not the one I wanted which was a double double with the potential to redo the roof, fit the lift in and have space for five cars. But that one wasn't to be.

I've dug out a copy of Lancia Beta Gold Portfolio compiled by RM Clarke
of Brooklands Books.
It's full of road tests from the world over.

Featured is one solo pic of A434LKO.
Also, A438LKO - a Coupe VX and A426LKO - another HPE VX.
This series of numbers must have been allocated to the Lancia head office.

I've gone through all the British reg numbers from N through to B featured
and not one seemingly survives.
