Title: No pressure after MC rebuilt
Post by: lukasdeopalenica on December 03, 2012, 12:02:25 PM
Hi Guys,
After rebuilt of my brake system (new hoses, new seals at calipers and master cylinder) my brakes literally do not work at all. I tried to bleed the system, but it seems that the pump can not built the pressure and does not suck the fluid from the reservoir. Eventually I filled the hoses and calipers gravitically, just opened subsequently bleeding screws and waited for the fluid to come, and came at all points. Should the MC be bled additionally? I am almost sure, but not sure of course I have reassembled the MC correctly... I would be grateful for any tips :)

As you have filled the system with fluid then I would start by checking the master cylinder first to ensure that it has been rebuilt correctly.

Dry rebuilds can cause the seals to flip over
the first time the pedal is pressed.
Pain in the butt, but does happen I'm afraid.

It sounds like that. Thank you. So I will disassemble the mc once again...I hope the seals are still in working condition ;)
