Hi everyone,

This is my first time on this forum so just wanted to say hello and also I am seeking some help as I have hit a brick wall in my current restoration project. I have had Lance (1977 2lt Beta Coupe) for 7 years now and 12 months ago we hit make or break time. Lance had quite a bit of rust and was looking a bit sad and sorry for himself and I was seriously thinking of trading him in for a younger model. In the end I couldn't do it so he is just about to be resprayed in his original Silver after undergoing some serious rust surgery.
While the seats are out I have decided to tackle the interior which is still in the original brown carpet/vinyl doors and burnt orange fabric on the seats. I love the brown/orange combo from the seventies and although a lot of it is still in good nick, the driver seat centre panel is running very thin  and there are already a number of rips happening so I will basically need to replace all of the orange fabric. Has anyone tried to replicate this interior and if so, were you successful? Thanks in advance and I am sure I will be back with some more questions in the future!

Hi redVXcoupe,

Thanks for the link I will check it out. If all else fails I have a vision of burnt orange vinyl in the back of my mind which I am tempted to investigate further.

The easiest way to replicate it is with leather - but that's not exactly cheap.

There was a guy on the old forum that advertised replacement covers but I don't think he's been heard from for a long while.

Very, very occasionally something like this comes up on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LANCIA-BETA-SPIDER-ZAGATO-INTERNO-SEDILI-FODERA-TESSUTO_W0QQitemZ220555002103QQcmdZViewItemQQptZRicambi_automobili?hash=item335a1a40f7

Other than that carefully take the covers from the passenger seat and ask a good upholsterer to make patterns from them. An interior trim specialist should be able to get pretty close on the colour.

Be a bit careful with Felix at Lancia Cape town, you need to describe what you want very carefully.

And post some pictures !!
