Suspiciously cheap DCOE carb on Facebook
« on: September 21, 2024, 08:18:19 AM »
I just noticed a post in Club Lancia Beta advertising a Weber DCOE carburettor (no other info) for the very low price of €230. This is less than I paid for my DCOE(s) 10-15 years ago. Have prices on Webers really bucked the trend of everything else and gone down? The cheapest DCOEs I can find are £800 per pair (£400 each) on the Fast Road Cars website. Are China getting into the Weber knock-off game?

I’m sure you’ve seen the Chinese copy Weber carbs ‘FAJS’?
They look like direct copies to me but I’ve not got direct experience to comment on quality or functionality.
They may even share components such as jets, tubes etc but I’m pretty sure they don’t have the name ‘Weber’ cast on them. Only FAJS I believe.

Is the Facebook ad specifically claiming Weber? Or just DCOE? (Weber style)

Cheers

Hi Ian,

Yes, the listing is in 'Club Lancia Beta' on FB and is very light on info. All it says is 'DCOE Carburetors Price 230' (from an Italian seller, so I presume priced in €uros), and almost certainly a Chinese copy.
