Hi,

I have a 1600cc Coupe fitted with the Marelli S147 HX distributor with points ignition and I have the option of replacing it with the electronic ignition system from a 2000cc Spider. They both fit into the engine block and I was wondering if this swap/upgrade would work? And if there are any wiring and/or loom implications involved.

Thanks
Pete

There are some basic wiring changes required but it's pretty simple if you have the both wiring diagrams (one in haynes, the other I can send you)

I don't know how similar the ignition curves are  - I'll have a look in the manual tomorrow assuming no one else knows of the top of their head.

Thanks Stuart I appreciate that. Do you need anything from me in order to send me the wiring diagrams?
