Just in time for Betameeta next weekend, the normally fairly faithful steed has thrown a shoe- all over my shoes actually- as coolant is coming from the heater valve at quite a rate. Happily I was only 3 miles from home when I spotted it so got it back without catastrophe.

I googled the part number and Tanc Barret have something the same number, but different in appearance. Mine is a black plastic IPRA item and the suggested replacement is metal see pics.

Will it do the job before I tear over to Ludlow ( about 90 mins) and waste £89 ?.

Hi Mark

These plastic valves have been a frequent fail. I think the part offered is worth a try as they only way to really know is to get it up close and personal with the heater pipes and linkages.

My thoughts too Eric. Shame I found the problem too late to get over there today. I'll see if I can get over there asap next week.

Hi Mark,

At the very least you'll be able to bypass this issue if you can't find the correct
valve.

I'd not thought of a work-around Nigel. Good idea.

Thanks
