Hi all,
Its been highlighted by Ian that doing a Goodwood Track day without a proper
baffled sump could cause injury.

I was fortunate to acquire a sump pan from Peter a while ago and an image is below.

I'm wondering if a 'simple' addition to this pan is required, or whether this existing set up is
the factory solution to the known issue.

I'm pretty sure that is as it comes from the factory. The amount of baffling there is pretty minimal and I remember Guy Croft being totally dismissive of its effectiveness. These are pics of my sump with the OE baffles removed and a BetaBoyz baffle kit welded in:

Thanks Graham.

I've decided to withdraw from the event for now, and will work on
a better sump arrangement for the future.

Your photos are really helpful and I'll take a further look at GC's notes
as well.

Cheers, Nigel

Nigel,

The Betaboyz baffle kit is based upon (i.e. 'liberated from') Guy Croft's original work. GC did actually come up with a revised version which works even better, but declined to put details out in the public domain. I'll see if I can find a link to the photos.

Hi Nigel,

I've tracked down the photos of GC's revised/updated Beta sump baffling. The conversation (and pictures) can be found here:
