Excellent stuff! I saw your post on Facebook and was well impressed with the work you've done. I like the little splashes of red you've managed to add to springs and bolts etc. How was that done? And what pistons are you using? I'm just starting on the road that you've already travelled...

It was done by taking every bit apart and cleaning, bead blasting and painting. The Pistons are one oversize domes good for aprox. 10.5:1 compression

I've already sent some parts off to the bead blasters for treatment, but have mixed feelings about blasting something like the cylinder block with beads or grit. I'm intending to give my block to an engine overhaul place near me and get them to put it in their hot wash tank. After that I may get it vapour blasted as that shouldn't leave any potentially dodgy residue. I'm sure you made sure that nothing unpleasant was left behind, but I'd rather not take any chance I think.

I've seen the effects of vapour blasting on really manky aluminium and the transformation was incredible. But top marks for all the work you've done; that gives me a standard of finish to aim for!

Pressure wash/ brush and Jizer followed by drying off with air line and protecting with gt85 or wd40 was all I did, then block painted with grey floor paint
