Can you start a VX engine with the supercharger belt removed - is there enough bypass for it to idle?

I managed it when I had a VX in the Stratos replica once or twice, it wasn't easy to start. It had wilder cams than standard though.

What you need to consider though is can you drive a VX without power steering.....
