I have just replaced the bushes in mine with OEM pattern bushes from ebay Italy. Perfect fit and all is well. Had to fabricate pullers to extract the old ones and pull the new ones in.

I'd be interested to see a photo of the puller you made up. I've heard of people having to burn the bushings out.

Extracting:
The narrow ring fits where the bushing protudes into the vee, NB! I inverted it in the picture!!!
The large cylinder allows the wide outside end of the bushing to come into the cylinder without being pulled out of kilter and jamming in the wishbone.

Inserting:
The short cylinder to the right sits outside the vee and fits onto the larger end of the bushing.

Steering wheel puller

And while I am at it, here is the very simple steering wheel puller I made. The two bolts fit in the steering wheel boss into ready made threaded holes made for the purpose.
