Alan, i've had an email from Centro Archivio Storico and they can only provide build date and model.
A certificate would cost E70.00, or via email E30.00.

I think i'll leave it for now!

As I suspected really, it's sad that they kept no records and even sadder that they charge simply to give you a build date. Now we need someone who has a pre 78 car to try and see if they at least have build dates for those or not as I have nothing pre 78 and I'm not supposed to have what I already have either!

Alan, just this past weekend I noticed an aluminium stamped plate pop-rivited to
the front upper frame rail by the Australians [I presume]which
clearly says BUILT DEC 1983 !

So the FCA heritage would have told me nothing I didn't know already!

Best wishes, Nige

I seem to be a month out! But I'm guessing if the plate was added in Australia that it took a month to get there! ?

This and the above plate,I believe, were fitted by the Aus
importers.

I thought this 'resurrection-of old-post' worthy....

Having not seen it mentioned before, there is a paint code
sticker on the left rear tower of my 83 HPE.

Nigel,
I for one never knew this paint code was tucked away on the rear turret.
And guess what I just found on the VX HPE I’m restoring?

Ian,
In practice, it's not.
All Lancia codes are 3 numbers, at least they appear to be.
The code I found matches my cars' original Silver.

In this case, hmm.

Unless it was a special order from the factory....

Hi Guys..

Those stickers are interesting on the rear turrets,
Nigel I'm quite certain your Silver is the same as mine, ( our cars are practically identical ) and I have this on the underside / nearside of my Boot lid.
( refer attached )

Best Andrew.

Yup Andrew [happy new year!]

Same code as mine. My hatch was replaced before my guardianship
so no sticker.

Cheers, Nigel
