Hi can anyone tell me how many Volumex coupes are left on the road?
I looked up How Many left?  It said there are 5 on the road and 14 on sorn surely this can't be right and if so it means my silver Vx Coupe is one of the 4 on the road
Anyone got any other stats ?
Thanks
David

They are listed under  two different identifiers on DVLA (search for coupe volumex and for VX coupe)and as always with old cars the summer figure is always the most reliable indicator.
Quarter 2 of 2016 is probably the most reliable published info (I think they haven't published this quarter for 2017 yet) as most cars would be in use at that period the total comes to 10 on road 35 sorn.

Plus one. Managed to put my one back on the road April 2017 after somewhere between a 15-20 year 'sleep'.

I suspect there are more than a few extra ‘pre-sorn’ VX cars knocking around that skew the figures from the site by a few %.
I have a couple at Chez Harpo for starters. One hopefully back on the road by the end of next year.

Interesting isn't  it that between 40 and 50 appear survive out of 150 so about 30%. Given these were originally everyday cars and quite a lot of restorable ones have been killed by the vintage MG vandals it's pretty impressive really. I wonder how this compares with other marques/models of the same era
