Replacing clutch cable?

I'm in the process of changing the clutch cable on my F/L/ spyder but I can't see where it attaches to the clutch pedal.
I understand it's held that end by a pin and circlip but I just can't seem to locate it.
I took out the instrument cluster but that was absolutely no help.
I presume I'm just missing the obvious here?

Is it not behind the fuse box in the engine bay and attaches to the pivot from memory

I received a drawing from a member via email a short while ago and it's no wonder I couldn't find it!
There's more parts in the clutch pedal than an entire British Leyland "A" series engine!
At least I now understand how the bizarre angle of entry of the cable through the bulkhead allows connection to the pedal

Job done with minimal fuss now I know that it attaches IN THE ENGINE BAY!
I was dizzy standing on my head trying to find it under the dash

We've all been there, taking the long route to an easy fix glad it's sorted

How many of you have done something this dumb?
I just discovered that I threw away the entire air filter assembly for the face-lift spyder in mistake for the assembly off an old BMW I sold years ago?
Coincidentally, BMW air filters do not fit Lancia Betas
