As I have my doors apart, my thoughts strayed to sound reduction- has anyone done this and are there any new miracle products? Alternatively is it a waste of time?

Do your doors have the bit of sound deadening material stuck to the outer skin?

We used carbuilders stage one and stage two sound proofing. Check them out at www.carbuilders.com.au pretty happy with it all

I used self adhesive mats made by 3M. Pretty easy to install. Relatively lightweight and thin - so well fitted under the door cards.

A bonnet liner might make a difference if you don't have one?

My bonnet liner is pretty good. To be honest I think much of the noise is airborne around door seals.

As I say, only an issue on long motorway runs and we are spoilt by how quiet modern cars are.
