Another simple one I hope! Fumbling about in the interior of the car in the garage, this is a brail excercise.

I am taking the instrument binnacle out. I have the speedo cable off and the oil capillary tube, but am struggling with the three multi-plugs and don't want to force( read break) anything.

I think these come off upwards but is there some sort of clip/ lock to attack first?

Yes indeed. For each of the connectors there is a there is a catch that you press towards the middle of the cable bundle. It is about 1 cm across.That will release it then draw towards the front of the car.
