New Owner. Any info on my car?

Hi,

I picked up a 1982 Spider last summer which was in reasonable condition, and I'm slowly working on it to use as a summer car. So far so good, Day and Whites at Brands Hatch have given the engine and mechanics a once over and its currently being re-upholstered in a nice chestnut tan leather. The car was originally light blue but I am told that it had a black re-spray in 1988. It's a pretty poor paint job with lots of micro blisters and a respray is definitely on the wish list, although I think that the paint job has pretty much preserved the body work as there is almost no rust.

Reg is SRB 512X and I wonder if anyone has had any past experience with this car. It's my first 'classic' so keen to find out about the history of it.

You can apply to the DVLA for a list of previous owners. I forget the form name, hopefully someone here can help with it.

Thanks Peter. I might do that although I'm more intrigued whether anyone on the forum has had any personal experience with the car.
