Hi All

Quick questions on carb pre f/l S2 Spyder I am putting back together

1 - Can someone let me know where the servo pipe to the carb is supported. I see a clip in the parts book, and have looked at the Haynes which has one photo of HPE bay showing what I think is it attached to the battery tray, though unclear.

2 - my parts book implies the non return valve is situated near to the servo, but the photo in the Haynes manual has it located near the carb. Logically I would say the carb end, but where do others have it located?

Thanks

Peter

The clip is secured to the battery tray via a bolt on the side if the tray iirc. The non return valve is about 4" away from the carb - it's not at the servo end.

Hi Stuart

Thanks, any chance you could have a quick look for me?

I can see a stud on the battery tray support bracket near the servo and two holes in the base of the battery tray which could take a bolt.

Front offside of the battery tray - the clip bolts on underneath.

pm me your email ( sorry I've misplaced it) and I'll send a pic that just shows it.

NB That's the tray with the extension piece for the rigid washer bottle   - the cars with the washer bag on the wing are slightly different

Hi All

Thanks for the photos, I have all the info I need now, attached is the photo from Stuart of the pre f/l, so in the thread we have both styles of carb f/l and pre f/l, general consensus is the non return valve is up near the carb, not at the servo end which makes sense.

Great example of what a forum is for and what it does best.
