1979 Beta Coupe

« on: July 10, 2016, 04:42:53 PM »

Hi everyone- So, I yanked my USA spec bumpers off my 79 Coupe, because they were hideous, ripped up, heavy and huge.  I maintained the bumper posts and rubber and reinstalled them (using on the front to remount the turn signals and some running lights).

I am not 100% with what I want in the long run, 6 years from now when I am tooling about as a 50 year old yank with a Beta...but I do know I need to sort out what I can do for long term replacement.  My preference would be a light weight, steel or chromed unit that is discreet, tucks in well to the body and does not weigh a ton.  However, I would take advice as to any options as I have not seen ONE bumper for sale that looks to fit the bill.

Hi

So are the standard Euro bumpers of interest or also too bulky and heavy?
