My name is Khalifa, I think you will be surprised when you know that there are people in this part of the world who loves Lancia and in general, Italian cars.

My life began with the first new car, a 1973 124 Fiat Sport Coupe. later during my university time I decide to buy a new car.  I was determined to buy a 1977 Lancia Beta HPE or Alfa GTV GT. Unfortunately neither of the two have air-conditioner, so I went and bought a Datsun 260Z because it had A/C and in fact,  I didn't regret my choice ..

In 1979 (me and my brother) started our journey, we drove from Qatar and passing through Istanbul then continued our trip across Eastern Europe and then Germany and reached Oslo. In our return we passed Western Europe and the Mediterranean coast, Yugoslavia and crossing the Middle East to our home in Qatar without any breakdowns during the two-month trip (approximately 16000 klm).

By the way, I already have  a 1982 Fiat 2000 Spider in my garage (almost in original condition)

Last week, I bought  81 Lancia beta Zagato from US and will reach after a month, and later we will follow up the story of her arrival to Qatar.

Good to see a new member, welcome.

That's one hell of a road trip, that must have been quite an experience!
