Hi All

I know that there is a tool around for hire for undoing the later and common ring, but looking at mine it is different and I wondered if anyone has a tool to undo it or is it a case of cold chisel and hammer and replace?

Photo of the ring in situ below

I've never seen a tool to fit one of them.

I notice though that the there are 8 notches so in theory you could cut a square piece of thickish plate to fit and either broach a square hole for a breaker bar or weld a big nut to it.

Drill and split with a cold chisel is going to be faster though.

Hi

Thanks, yes, not a lot of purchase available on the ring unlike (and presumably why they changed it) the later one.

I am hoping the later one will just fit.....
