Have I missed something here. I had an idle browse through the classifieds and it looks like they've gone up 50% in the last three months.

EVO 2s have been silly money for a while but people are asking up to £20k for a 16V non-Evo.

Are they actually selling for this  much or is it just hopeful sellers? There's at least one import I saw that's been on sale for over a year yet its price has gone up too!

I'm probably regarded as a crank but I really prefer a beta to a 'grale, so to me the prices seem even more bonkers. I suspect it's ford escort syndrome and at some time will fall off the proverbial cliff. I'm quite happy for classics to gain a value that reflects the cost of maintaining and restoring but all these magazines talking up prices and talk of investment get on my nerves a bit

People buying cars as an investment should be banned from owning them! They're there to be driven and none more so than an Integrale.

What I'd describe as a 'Walkers' car I don't really see the attraction in.

I hope the values do fall at some point as I'd very much like to own one again but not at those prices

'grale prices have been crazy for a while but do seem to have skipped a bit recently

I seriously considered one a few months back but decided to spend the money on a new motorbike instead.  From the many I went to see, they are not selling at the money being asked.

A friend of mine has a nice original 1987 8v for sale. He's had only minor interest at £8000.

Tends to confirm my opinion that deltas are possibly worse than betas for rot
