Chaps

Just pawing through my Jan edition of Viva Lancia and I see that it arrived with notification of the LMC Goodwood Trackday scheduled for 18th April.  I'm not sure what my plans are yet but are there any other potential Beta takers?  Half day is £120, full day for £190.  Thoughts?

Chris

It's on my bucket list but it's such a long haul from where we are on crap roads (M1/M25 etc.). This year it's too close to a fairly long haul up to the Great Northern Weekend (New Lanark).

I do need to get my finger out though, because the LMC struggle to keep this going and actually subsidize it on the basis than a lot of people turn up for the social side of it. I think they only get a decent weekend slot because of the March family's associations with Lancia.

Always seems a nice a nice idea and its a lovely area/circuit, but even for me it's a long drive, based on going to the Revival a few times and I'm not sure I would want to belt the old girl round the circuit when I have a four hour drive back afterwards.

Might be a good idea for a meet though and I know Chris is a distance junky!

Should mention that it is open to non-LMC members too, on a 'day membership' basis.

I could be persuaded into this....

Is there any 'expert' instruction (ie someone that knows what they're doing to sit alongside) available?

There are usually plenty of people available to do this, both from the Club and the track if you ask around.

Any idea if it's too late to attend Goodwood tomorrow?

Attending is no problem, but the track slots are full from what I have seen on the LMC site.

Peter is correct. The track slots have sold out for the first time in several years. The majority attend for the social side of it though and to watch the runs.

Thanks for letting me know.  I have a lot on tomorrow so don't think I'll risk upsetting the wife if it's just for a social as opposed to track time.

Thanks again guys
