Does this require complete removal of rear sway bar to replace safely?  The front bushes after 33 years have given up the ghost.

It looks like the bushing housing just bolts to the sway bar.

I am not sure but it may depend on the type of the rear sway (what is linked with beta model). In later types the sway is fixed to the body by means of brackets that are bolted to the sway at one side and by bushings and second part of the bracket to the chassis. In this case you need just to remove the brackets to renew the front bushings.

Post up a picture of you can and then we'll know what we are dealing with :-)

As Lucasz correctly says there are different types depending on model of car.
