Only fly in ointment from  yesterday's run to Stanford Hall is rev counter now not working at all, as opposed to working when the mood took it.

Did I see on here that someone had rev-counters?

Mine is 1976/7 with the brown dash - I had assumed that the binnacle was an all in one affair, but hopefully not.

The rev counters can be swapped out separate to the rest of the instruments.

Hello!

I have new ones, they are either Veglia or Jaeger, blackfaced or the older white-yellow kind.I live in Sweden but the postage to GB was not that
bad,if I remember it correctly it was something like 9 GBP!

Good Evening!
I`m sorry I´ve promised something I couldnt deliver!I had only one new Veglia rev. counter left and by closer inspection it differs in many ways, among other things it has two holes for bulbs in the fascia.I have some used ones, but I suppose a second hand one is easier and cheaper to find closer at reach.I attach something that can be useful if you choose to repair yours.

Greetings Urban

Thanks for that- and thanks for looking.

I will have to get mine out to see if it is a connection issue before I try (or rather ask someone else to try) to repair it.

I may be back to ask about used ones!

Have now run out of sense of humour on Rev counters.

I have checked and cleaned connections, swapped Rev counters between the 2 binnacles I have, and even tried both binnacles, but still no sign of a working rev counter.

There just seem so many potential places to lose 12 volts en route to or within the clock. My theory in swapping binnacles was that there could be a crack in the copper circuits on the back of the binnacle. All too possible that both binnacles are duff too.

Suppose I will move on to not being able to fix the window regulator.

Hi Mark

As and when I finally fire up my engine, I have a couple of the early brown binnacles complete which I think are the same as yours and given I will have the dash loosely fitted, I could hopefully test your binnacles and counters. Sadly not sure when that day will be, but the offer is there.

I also have a black f/l one, but no idea if the wiring is the same.
