I believe Bosch agents still carry the internals for this distributor,
Sensor unit and pick up was about £18.

Yes, on US cars we had limited choice. Early cars, '75-78 were 1800 carbed cars with points and Electronic ignition an option last couple years, with the distributor mounted in the block. 79 we got the 2L but still with a carb and too much emission nonsense giving poor power/performance. I cannot say for certain what dizzy these had. 81 and 82 we got the 2L with the Bosch FI. These all had electronic ignition, with distributor mounted on the end of the cam, and a vacuum advance module on the dizzy with small hose running to carb for vacuum. I believe VX had this same dizzy set up with vacuum advance.  There may have been other offerings and combinations in other markets, but that is what we got here in the states.

In Europe on IE models the dizzy is almost the same but without vacuum advance unit. The opening port is just plugged. There is only centrifugal advancer built inside the dizzy.
