Hi guys,
Where do you source from HPE tailgate struts? What do you think about this:
http://www.bootstruts.co.uk/lancia-boot-struts/lancia-beta-gas-struts
Apat of the load capacity is there any difference between VX and other HPE versions?
Thanks

I have no idea who the company is or how good the product, but the only difference I know between standard HPE and VX struts are that the VX one is uprated to cope with the extra weight of the spoiler. Therefore I am surprised to see that the VX model is cheaper than the standard! Also you might have an issue with using a VX pair of struts without the spoiler (on a standard HPE) due to the power lifting the hatch too quickly / strongly?
However even the standard model looks good value??
Best,

Judging by the site, they tick all the boxes in terms of advertising their full details and offering a pre sales support line, so no idea if the product is good, but would you go to that trouble to sell poor quality products?

Given the price of them, not a great deal to be lost if they are poor and with 2 year warranty, at least you have a chance to sort it out.

Quick Google gave me this list of refs

I realise I'm resurrecting an old thread here, but on browsing a website for a totally different purpose, I became aware that they listed replacement tailgate struts for Beta HPEs. Not only that, but the quality of all the stuff they've sold me has been very good. They're SGS Engineering in Derby and they advertise all their struts as being made in UK. Here's the link:
