The Moprod pump I have in my spares box has the following numbers on the box; FP104 453254, and FP104 410904 on the inner bag. The box states that it is suitable for all Betas excepting the 2 litre 1972 on. Not sure which numbers you are quoting?

Has the cam on the auxiliary shaft moved while the pump was off or does the pump not fit at all?

the number in box is:fp104.other 2 nubers are:302636 and 8312EB.its exactly like the bcd 2166/1.but i think in my car i have the bcd 2166/6.
my mechanic said that they have a diference on the lever.

Yes, quite a bit different from my spare, as well as a completely different body it has a much wider pressed lever. Wonder if it got put in the wrong box? Picture of my pump below;

it's incorrect that all mechanical pumps are the same but many after market ones are listed as such, I will check the oe part number for the late 1300

note the modification and relevant engine/chassis information, late 1366 cars use the 2 litre pump

The one actually fitted to my car has the curved and elongated inlet pipe as per the picture in the parts catalogue, so it will be interesting to see how well my spare functions when I fit it as part of my planned Spring overhaul!

Pictures on microfiche can't be relied upon to be accurate they never show detail variations

I've recently fitted a new pump like your spare (the one in the picture) to replace OE style item.  It seems to work fine.

Fitted this pump last week (picture above) and I have to say it doesn't fit as well as the original with the curved inlet pipe. The inlet on the new pump is very close to the bottom of the inlet manifold, to the point where you have to fit the pipe before tightening the pump onto the crank case.

All working fine once fitted and the fuel pipe doesn't actually foul the manifold. However, if you are buying a new pump I would go for the OE one with the curved inlet.

(Also undertook my most outstanding job at the same time; replacing the oil pressure gauge sender. It's nice to see the pointer sat in the middle of the gauge for the first time in several years!)
