Hi!

I wonder if anyone knows if the steering wheel hub for the Beta is the same one as for the Delta?

Some eBay vendors have hubs listed for Beta/Delta, and these are much cheaper than the ones for Beta only...

Fairly sure Gamma & Beta are the same,  I know the Monte is different.
Omicron would be able to confirm

I'm 99.9% sure that Delta steering wheel hub (boss) will not fit. The number of splines differ and hence they will not fit the steering wheel hub.

This is something that I had to look at when building Stratos kits as it uses the Beta steering column, I looked at using a Delta steering wheel and it would not fit, I am not sure about the Monte version though as I was using a late Beta Coupe steering column. (Hence only being 99.9% sure!)

Hope that helps,

The only steering hub for Delta that fits  Beta, must to be the Delta mk1
until 1984; after 1984 the hub doesn't fit to Beta.

Good afternoon,

I have a Delta hub on my spyder. The hub was sold to me as being from an '83 car but when I offered it up to the column, the splines were different - so I guess it must have been a later one so be careful.

Anyway, the hub is quite a soft alloy and the hole itself is the same diameter so I put it on and pulled it into place with the column nut. Not ideal I know, but it is perfectly safe and has never caused any problems. (I don't know how easy it will be to get off again but there again, you are supposed to use a puller to get the original wheel off anyway).
