Can anybody help me with that? I have found that similar, if not the same, sensors are used in lancia dedra, thema, alfa 155 etc., but I am not sure if they have the same characteristics.

haven't had much time so proceed with caution I haven't double checked these numbers! 82240626  seems to be the number for s2fl (other series might differ I haven't time to check this morning) alternative numbers may be (please cross reference these yourself to be sure)  7588856 7589337 82357865 but I haven't had time to research properly and I'm afraid I will not have time this week but use this as a starting point for your research. Please post your findings here when you are successful

Thanks for the reply,
comparing the numbers it seems as it should be the same sensor as used in newer dohc family equipped cars as dedra, thema, alfa 155 etc. I am guessing the sensor apart of a special sealing should not differ from water temp sensors having 14x1,5 thread and with the NTC characteristics.
My oil temerature gauge goes just a bit when the engine is warmed, but when I short-circuit the wire, the dial goes to the maximum. Hence I suspect the sensor, however at 20C the sensor has resistance about 4kOhm and decreases with the temperature rise. But the lowest resistance is to high, I recon it should be close to zero...

I think you might be mistaken there. AFAIK all coupes & spiders pre F/L with the brown dash had an oil temperature gauge top right. Both mine certainly have had.
