For years I have been looking to replace the sunroof seal on my Coupe, the one that locates round front and sides of the sunroof panel itself.

After no joy from any of the specialists based in the UK, I have found an alternative which does the job perfectly.

Sunroof seal from a BMW E30 is available from all BMW dealers costing £40.31, it has the felt sides and is the correct height & width so the sunroof moves smoothly when in operation.

BMW Part number is B54121906999

When fitted to the BMW the seal is in two sections, do not buy the front section as this is not required.  You only need the rear seal section which is 160 cm long, so long enough for what you'll need.

It will need to be trimmed to length and also you will have to trim the ends and make a hole for the pop rivet when riveting the ends to the panel to stop them coming loose.

With the drain holes clear and this seal in place you wont have any leaks!  Grin

Had a call from Peter Harding Classic restorations today.

Stating that due to demand the company that supply the seals for older Lancia, Ferrari, Alfa & Fiats etc have remade the sunroof seals (for Beta & Intergrales)

However they are about 100 Euros per car, so thats the price of originality.

Just thought I'd post this news.  If you want an original sunroof seal then please contact Peter direct.
