I am buying new tires - the factory size is 175/70/14

my choices are

175/65/14
175/70/14

185/60/14
185/65/14
185/70/14

What are your experiences?

I moved from 175/70's to 185/65's some years ago.  I like the original rims and the 185/65's feel just right on a Coupe.

I'll second that - I've got Toyo CF1 in 185/65 14. Steering is a touch heavier but they're the best compromise IMHO.

Nothing wrong with the standard sixe really but it's getting diffcult to get decent, grippy tyres in that size.
