What is the actual difference (if any) between the Beta Coupe and Beta Spider (earlier style...non IE)?    I have a front bumper ready to be shipped from Europe to the US, but would like to add a rear bumper in the package as well.  I've found a Coupe rear bumper on Italian ebay (package will be leaving from Italy) but I'm fitting it to a Spider.

I've heard they are the same--and I've heard they are just SLIGHTLY different.

What is the truth?   Would a Coupe bumper work just fine on a Spider?

Try asking "milleman". He has a Spyder which I believe he created a rear bumper for from two parts? I think he said that the SPYDER rear bumper is slightly wider to accomodate the extra width in the bodyshell?
Hope that helps,

BJ

The spyder bumper both early and late is wider than the coupe rear bumper by about an inch to fit the wider rear end so no one wanted to break the bad news to you I suspect. Whilst with huge skill you can adapt the late S3 facelift wrap around bumpers as Milleman has done this is not an easy option. This is why real Spyder/ Spider rear bumpers are very sought after.

I see.  Thank you very much.  So it looks like I'm looking for a Spider rear bumper then!  Thanks again.  (I finally got a front bumper...)

And since Vancouver and I live about 100 miles away from each other, maybe we can pack all together and save shipping costs!  Millieman, you have a PM.
