The garage has just phoned to confirm that the welding is now complete and that I have a new MOT. Happy days!

We had agreed a price in advance and it sounds as if I got a good deal.  He said that once they started grinding back, things were worse than they thought and, if they had been charging normal labour rates, the bill would have been over £1000!!!!!!

The wife is going to collect later and I'll have a crawl around underneath tonight.

Great news... would have been a shame if it were off the road for an extended period.

lol - just need to sort the holes out in the rag top now and I'll be ready for the rain summer

has put a bit of a dent in my finances that I wasn't expecting but I wanted it done properly (and the garage did the job properly and honoured the estimate)
