Dear All,
Whilst pondering the mysteries of the VX plumbing I have realised that the thermo switch (although electrically working) will not actually work due to the locating bracket being broken, and thus the correct engine temp will not reach the switch at the right time! I had actually electrically tested it previously but had just thought the bracket  held it in place to stop undue vibration etc!
So now that the vapour pump is working, (due to opening up and replacing the 12v electric motor) (£6.99 off Ebay), I need a good serviceable Vapour Suction Pump Thermo Switch.
If any are in doubt which part this is, it is the part that has two wires attached to it, and is located just before the fuel hose enters the carb, (and is bolted to the top of the VX supecharger). I do not actually know why it has to have fuel passing through it as petrol at 70c outside the ignition chamber is surely a risk? Or am I wrong?
Any help will be appreciated.
best,
Chas May,
(VXdeMAYO). Smiley

I might have a spare but finding it in the garage might be shall we say a challenge, no time to look today but if no one else comes up trumps let me know  I might have chance to get in the garage over the easter weekend
