Who does the blue Coupe belong to? Is it a series 1?

Looks like a great event. Can anyone tell me whose the lovely HPE belongs to? Is he a forum member, and is it "on the road, taxed and tested"? I only ask as I could not see from the angle of the photo's if it had a disc on the screen. I assume it is a 2L i.e? Also LOVELY BLUE COUPE!

Yes, the HPE is on the road and used frequently.  I don't think Jon the owner is an active forum member.

His HPE was at Goodwood for the Beta 40th Parade Lap.

It is a very very clean example and is much cherished  Grin

neil
i suspect the blue coupe must be a series 2  .  the front grille / light surrounds indicate a 1600cc and the bonnet is from the 2000cc ( series 1 bonnet had a single raised bit in the middle) and the vents behind the rear quarter glass are matt as opposed to chrome.
it looks to be a fantastic example which i would hope to see one day  - the series 1 and early series 2 (pre fl) coupes are my personal favourites. i might have to address my beta ownership in the future.
the cars this year look to be quite stunning - i now regret not coming to the show . congratulations to the efforts of their owners and  organisers for putting together a superb looking display.

Hi all, sorry for not getting on sooner, it's been manic here
Just wanted to express our thanks to all concerned for your help support and kindness during the show, and throughout the last year as we got the car back on the road- it was the first time displaying at the NEC
We are really happy that everyone loves the car, and is so enthusiastic about it- it makes all the hard work worth it
Thanks Theo- he tipped me off about the fabric spray, however it was rather scary doing it (in case i messed it up!!)
So round 2 will soon begin with our white 1300- the event has really spurred us on to get it ready for the new season, and make it as good as the yellow car, if not better!

Nice picture of the blue Coupe, again understandably (apart from the now big T registration clue) mistaken for a series 1 rather than 2 pre facelift.
