I have a pair of working electric window motors which I was checking & cleaning up, as part of my spares clear up.

There is a 19 mm nut that looks like it is designed to hold the "worm drive" metal sleeve to the electric motor body.  When I operate the motor the metal sleeve/guide for teh worm drive slips out of the 19mm nut and floats loose, then when I operate the motor in the opposite direction it's pulled back into the nut.

My question is:  Is the 19mm designed to clamp the worm drive sleeve in place? Or is mine slipping out / in because the main sleeve that the worm drive slides back and forth inside, is not bolted to the door and hence there is less rigidity or support of the outer sleeve and thus its popping out of the 19mm nut? Huh? Huh? Huh?

Sounds complicated i know but neither of my Coupés have electric windows and I cannot test or look at a working example.
