not very realistic you'd only get a rusty shed off ebay for that kind of money these days, there are a lot of cars in that list that could be called a shed even if mint but i suppose one man's idea of rubbish is someone's classic. The MGF is the most likely to be found in decent order for a grand but they are built out of old metros with very substandard under engineered parts (even the nuts and bolts are rubbish and rust into oblivion faster than you can say 'lancia beta') miracle is MG Rover engineers managed to do a remarkable job of making the bits of string and bubblegum work together as a whole great fun for summer!

Yes, can't see anyone selling an MOT'd car for less than £ 1500. It's nice though that people are starting to acknowledge that the Beta was no worse with regard to rust that it's contemporaries.

Yup the car pictured is my Coupe...and it most definitely isn't for sale at under £1k or indeed at any price. Richard Dredge is very pro Beta, but I think he might have been better off putting a higher price tag than £1,000. The article would still have had impact if he'd increased the price to £4-5k.
Still as far as we're concerned on this forum it's great to see Betas remembered. They do say that there's no such thing as bad publicity...
