 Hi all!
I'm Clem and I'm a new Beta HPE 2000 IE owner. I bought it 2 months ago and already drove 4000kms with it.
The HPE is from 84 and it's my first italian car. I already own a mint MG B GT from 71, an Austin Mini "25th anniversary" from 84 as well and a yellow Van-Van RV125 from 74.

The Beta is in great shape, little rust spots that's gonna be fixed in few days, engine run smooth, just a few details that I hope can be fixed.

I'm really happy to find this forum that looks very active! So thanks a lot already for bringing so much information and share it!!

here is the pic taken by the previous owner! I didn't took the time to shoot it analog yet, but it's coming!
There's, i guess, a pretty good support in France, the squadra beta makes new unavailable spare parts sometimes!
And I just straight went for you guys...  Grin

yep Lyon, but that was the place where I took it from! It's now stayin in the north of France 59, but has got a 64 mineral plate!
Why? Just because I'm gonna go surf with that car, and that on surf spots, better have the registration number from the area if you don't wanna get some scratches on the side or surprises on the tyres...

Trying now to get it back fully in shape, I'm searching for those parts that lift the boot of the HPE! Is it call Gaz dampers in english?
Anyhow, I been searching for those parts for a while, so if anyone has any clue about where to find it, I'll be very happy...  Wink

Yeah, here is the E-Mail I got back.

Dear Tiff

Thank you for your enquiry. New struts are available at a cost of £46.29 for the pair delivered (£15.95 per strut plus £7.50 carriage and VAT), are covered by a two year guarantee and are available on next day delivery.

Some struts can be re-gassed depending on their condition so a visual inspection by us must be made in order to assess your struts, which is free of charge.

If you try a re-gas and it fails within the warranty period we will discount the cost of the re-gas from new gas struts purchased from SGS Engineering.

A re-gas is £32.29 delivered for the pair (£9.99 per strut plus £7.50 carriage and VAT) and struts are usually turned around within three working days. Payment can be made via credit/debit card and you will be contacted for payment once your struts have been tested. If you require a re-gas please send your struts to:
