I have just dropped my fuel tank, for the purpose of cleaning and sealing it - but I seem to have mislaid the fuel filter......

I was sure it should be sitting up by the cross beam on the O/S of the vehicle - about 6-8" after the fuel pump?

Does anyone have a photo of the filter in place, which they could possibly post here  for me? I would be very grateful, as I am a bit flummoxed now!

Thanks for any and all help

Vx doesn't have one only i.e. had it fitted although I've always thought it seems a good idea as a retro fit(?)

Thanks for the reply.

I would like to fit one in the same location as the i.e. - o/s/ right above the beam.....what do you think to that position?

I can't see any detrimental effects to the VX having one - can you? Or do you feel it is overkill as I have just sealed the tank, so - theoretically - there should be no rust/rubbish in the tank?

Thanks

Fit a filter pre pump to protect it for reliable motoring. There will be an OE FI filter that fits you just need to give the input and output pipe diameters to the man on the parts desk at your local Motor Factor. These are usually good value and good quality.
