As per the title, a friend of mine is in the middle of fitting a supercharger to his Gamma (yes, okay then it's The Colonel!!!) and is wanting to be able to control the boost just like a turbo. Question is, can it be done? We know that you can change the pulley size to either increase/decrease pressure, but Geoff would like to control the boost on the run. Any thoughts please? Thanks.

You can do it Like the MK IX Spitfire (Two stage - geared supercharger) Will require some sort of gearbox.
Or run the charger FASTER than what you want and fit a waste gate - totally impractical and Lancia would have done it had it been possible.
You will have too much stress on the components to start with and think of all the power the supercharger would soak up - not to mention the adverse effect on the fuel consumption.
Stick to a static 1.6:1 speed - like my VX HPE, you wont regret it!
