Title: A bit on the side?
Post by: Harpo on October 27, 2010, 10:36:18 PM
Side skirts guys!  ;D
On the 'Oddities' thread Spud mentioned the Stratton kit, but no one replied to that.
I am doing a few mods to a coupe this winter and would love to get hold of a set. Failing that, has anyone managed to get the side skirts from another car to fit without too much aggro? TIA.

I read recently in a mag, a chap had shortened some delta hf turbo one's to fit a y10. Perhaps the same could be done to a beta if there long enough.
I can only think you would have to drill holes in the sill and increase your chances of rust in doing so, to attach them. :-\

Thanks for the idea, it got me looking for skirts from a motor factors. I should be able to get something.
I just hope that it doesn't end up looking like a Corsa! At least my acne days are well behind me!
There is super strong adhesive, flexable, sandable and paintable around so drilling may be avoided.
