Title: Beta Age?
Post by: WestonTB on August 04, 2019, 10:57:54 PM
Hi all,

Hopefully attached should be a picture of my vin plate for the slightly Orange coupe (CGT 650X)

The car originally came from Waterloo carriage co who were good at moving on the Lancias that didn't sell so quickly!  Can anyone tell me the year of manufacture?  All parts on the car are date stamped 79, hopefully the car is too!

Tim.

Thank you, that is excellent news for next year, no more bending of sound metal with badly placed pry bars by testers who really should know better!!!

Thanks again.

Tim.

May 1979

Just a month younger than my 1300 which is T reg! As I said, not sure if DVLA will use date of manufacture for UK reg cars? Let us all know how you get on. They may ask for a letter from LMC.

My Spyder is  registered April 1979 and T registered.  Barbara kindly produced a letter confirming build date as Autumn 1978 whch was accepted by D.V.L.A. and I'm now tax and M.O.T. free from April 2019
