Title: Beta Special Tools Manual
Post by: peteracs on August 23, 2016, 02:51:46 PM
Hi All

Norm Thomas in the LMC has kindly scanned the tools book and allowed me to put for general consumption, not sure what limits these guys have on downloads, so let me know if it proves a problem. Suggest we space out when you download it....

Excellent stuff. The copy I had of that manual was missing the photos/drawings of the tools, which lessened its usefulness somewhat...

Well does not look like too many folk are downloading it so hopefully it can stay there, now dare I put the old manuals up on there...?

Also just bought some of the Beta fiche from Chris Bastow, I know this was looked at ages ago (Alan?), but if I get some time will look to see if I can sort out what we need to do to get them into pdf format.

the problem with scanning the microfiche is that the Fiat format is too large to fit the equipment of any of the companies that advertise that they scan 'any microfiche'  :( . It is possible to photograph it from the reader screen though I just haven't had time to do a full fiche yet! very laborious.....

The special tools manual on that pdf is a fairly early one for Betas, at that time Fiat and Lancia used separate numbering systems that were later harmonised so you can find the same tool with a Fiat number a Lancia number or the later fiat/lancia number. I have a much later (about 1985) edition which is probably more relevant to most people on here as it includes tools for up to the S2 FL2 cars but I'll doubt I'll find time to scan it. If anyone needs any info though please feel free to post a question or pm me.

Hi

Thanks for the info on the fiche issues.

On the special tools is that fiche or paper that it was published as?
